The Pokemon universe is just so popular, with Pokemon being the highest grossing video game franchise of all time (in your face, Mario). The RPG game has become super popular, that there are trading cards for the game, plushes, and even an anime series of the game (which BTW was at first licensed by the infamous 4Kids Entertainment, but is now licensed by The Pokemon Company International). This is mostly because of the humor that anyone can push in, along things that are too ridiculous to make sense. Here are the most common examples.

POKEMON NUMBER 591

Everyone is still curious about the 591st Pokemon, which Pokemon fans PLEAD you to not to search up, or else you have made the biggest mistake in your life. As my curious self, I searched up the 591st Pokemon, but I did not feel like I made a mistake, I thought that the thing was pretty funny. Anyway, the Pokemon with the number 591 is Amoonguss, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE GAME AMONG US! This is the exact reason why people are making fun of Amoonguss, the name sounds exactly like one of the most popular mobile games in history: AMONG US!! This sudden realization became viral after an anonymous person pointed out the fact. Pokemon fans have repeated the joke a ton of times. Can’t everyone just leave Amoonguss alone?

FORGET TOM FROM EDDSWORLD, ASH IS THE ONE THAT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE

All of us Pokemon fans all know about the Pokemon anime, where this 10 year old boy named Ash is determined to become a so-called “Pokemon Master” with his partner, Pikachu, on his side. Doesn’t that sound unusual? Well, here’s the catch, the series has been going on for HOW MANY SEASONS, and for some unscientific reason, ASH DOES NOT AGE. And every time that Ash enters a different region, he always resets his skill, and so does Pikachu (and the little electric mouse has defeated LEGENDARIES and other strong Pokemon). So at the start of a region after about three seasons, Ash and Pikachu are at Square One. And, even more confusing, all the people in Pokemon (including Ash) are SUPER STRONG.

How can I prove this? Well there is actually a scene in the Pokemon anime where a Hippopotas is standing on Ash’s head. Not unusual right? Well, Hippopotas weights exactly 109.1 POUNDS. Ash’s head would be deflated by now!

IT’S OFFICIAL: GAME FREAK IS CRAZY

For every Pokemon fan, they should (obviously) know about the Pokemon video games. These RPG video games are clever, creative, but there are things here that DO NOT MAKE ANY SENSE IN THE GAMES! In the original start of (almost) every Pokemon game, you start in your home. And do you realize that there are two rooms, your room and the kitchen. So does that mean your mom sleeps in the kitchen?

Another thing that makes no sense in the Pokemon games are the MOVES that Pokemon use. For example, Yamega has wings but can’t learn Fly (seriously) but Wooper and Gastly can learn Ice Punch.. AND THEY HAVE NO HANDS! HOW CAN YOU PUNCH IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY HANDS???? A thing that people have also noticed is Pokemon getting an ability that makes no sense. For example, Shinx, is a really adorable Pokemon in the Sinnoh region, BUT ITS ABILITY IS INTIMIDATE! HOW CAN THAT WORK?

You want more proof? Well, all of the Evolution states of Magnemite all have the same ability choices, Sturdy and Magnet Pull. But somehow, even though that all the Evolution states of Magnemite (Magnemite, Magneton, and Magnezone) are levitating, THE ABILITY IS NOT A ABILITY THAT THE WHOLE MAGNEMITE EVOLUTION CAN HAVE!!! And even worse, their are some Pokemon games that ignore abilities COMPLETELY (Pokemon Let’s Go and Pokemon Legends: Arceus)!

There are many other things that are hilarious about the Pokemon games and anime, but most of the things in Pokemon might never make sense to even a Pokemon EXPERT.
