In the world, there are such things as phobias. They are a type of fear and practically EVERYONE has one. No human being, no animal, no living thing in the world is not afraid of everything. There are actually types of phobias that are pretty weird, some CELEBRITIES have them. Today, I will be talking about three weird phobias three famous people have, and might have a list for really common phobias.

The very first celebrity that has a weird phobia is TV show host Oprah Winfrey. She has Chiclephobia, more commonly known as the fear of chewing gum. Why do you ask? It’s because when Oprah was a child, her family was poor. Her grandmother started to save chewing gum. There was chewing gum EVERYWHERE around their house, and when Oprah got some on her elbow one day, she freaked out. This is why the company that supports her (Harpo Studios) has banned chewing gum in their headquarters.

The second celebrity that has a weird phobia is Singer Katy Perry. She has Achluophobia, more commonly known as fear of the dark(which is a really common phobia!). She just can’t stand it. And all I have to say honestly, I’m also scared of the dark, so seeing that one of my favorite singers has the same phobia as me, kind of makes me a little more confident.

The third and last “celebrity” I should call this one, was Dictator Adolf Hitler (Dun, Dun, DUN!!!😱). He had the same fear that Big Nate. That’s right! He had ailurophobia, also known commonly as fear of cats. Adolf Hitler had such a strong phobia that he got a dog(a German Shepard to be exact!) to tame the lion, err – phobia. He named the dog Blondie, and had a really strong relationship with the dog. He’s not the only one that’s a cat coward! Other famous people that have ailurophobia are Alexander the Great, William Shakespeare, Genghis Khan, and Julius Caesar.

I promised a list of common phobias, but since it is getting long, I will have a list, but just a short one.

  • Achuluophobia, fear of the dark
  • Acrophobia, fear of heights
  • Atychiphobia, fear of failing
  • Monophobia, fear of being alone
  • The most common: Necrophobia: fear of death

Did you like this list? Do you have any other phobias to talk about? If so, then type it in the comments below. Until next time!
