Manatees. Palm Trees. Disney. Orlando. USA. What do all of those things remind you of? Well they all relate to one thing and one thing only… BEACHES AND WETLANDS!! Well no, but those two things are in the thing I’m mentioning: HER- Wait wait, no. I was watching a Hercules short on that time. FLORIDA!! The Sunshine State was the exact place for my spring break vacation (or vacay as other people say it). I went to so many places and all of those places were AMAZING!!! I’m not making any of these places up, so you can visit them anytime (and also I’m not a heartless cruel person).
The best place to make your kids go “WOW!!” is the Frost Science Museum, which includes many fun activities that includes looking for stamps and find anoles in an exhibit. There are many animals that are also present in the museum, like the pacific red octopus and the goliath grouper, and there even are genuine dinosaur fossils and live sharks there as well! This museum can give you anything, no matter how small or big it is and you WILL say “WOW!!”.
Another place for you and your family to have their memories plastered to their brain is the Miami Seaquarium, an aquarium (obviously) that gives you dolphin shows, a stingray petting tank, and it even shows you exotic birds like the red macaw. But what it has that that other aquariums don’t are many things: manatees that eat and sleep, and adventure programs that allow you to swim in an exhibit in the zoo and even getting up close and personal with many animals like dolphins, penguins, and seals. Yes, I know the aquarium is part of many controversies, but it’s a great place to visit!!
The last place I want to mention is the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. This place is famous for its way of raising butterflies as part of its conservatory acts. The conservatory also have two flamingos in the greenhouse where they keep the butterflies there. You can see butterflies flying freely in the greenhouse, occasionally landing on your clothes. At the end, you can see the chrysalises of butterflies that will soon be released in the conservatory when the butterflies emerge from and even get some souvenirs from the gift shop at the end. Just hope that the person you’re going with isn’t lepidopterophobic (fear of butterflies, moths and maybe some other flying animals) and sensitive of flying bugs like I was!
That’s all! Nova- OUT!!!
