Hey everyone! As my sister said in her previous blog, we are in Texas! Why?

…lets just say my robotics team lost too many FIRST Robotics competitions (maybe next year team 2202!).

But, since we already booked the tickets for Houston (a city in Texas), we decided to go to Texas for the heck of it AND THE REST IS HISTORY!

So, you may ask, how is it so far?

Well, our experience so far has been… interesting! In a good way!

First of all, we went to an aquarium. Well… less of an aquarium and more like an aquarium-zoo-amusement park-resturaunt hybrid. It’s called the Downtown Aquarium. We saw alligators, lionfish, an axolotl, tigers and so much more!

They also had a ride where you could see sharks but the ride had a very (and I mean VERY) long line. So we only decided to play some arcade games (we stopped playing after a while because Abby was starting to get addicted) and then eat. The food was good! They also had a tank full of different kinds of fish (shark, rays and arapaimas, oh my!)! Cool place! Was kinda disappointed for the tiny lack of some animals (but then again I’ve been to the Shedd Aquarium and nothing can beat that) but it was still fun!

Overall Rating: 7/10

The next day, we went to the Johnson Space Center! And…

oh my god that place taught me more about space than I realized-

We overall saw many parts of spaceships, made our own (virtual) rocket, go up into an actual rocket ship, one of the only three Saturn V rockets left on the EARTH and much much more!

There also was a short film explaining the history of space travel! We also went into a prototype of the ISS and got to learn how astronauts live in it! A must see to future astronauts, astrophysicists, and other astro-people!

Overall Rating: 9/10!

Besides eating crepes, and all this stuff, we’re also here to celebrate my sister’s 14th birthday (which I possibly will talk about next week). So stay tuned (possibly, or don’t wait at all!)

See you back at the Midwest!
