Hey everyone! You’re probably wondering how I got this idea. Well, I was about to continue the kinda-sorta dead Kid Icarus Explained: Suited and Rebooted series, but, well, here’s the story.

How I create my art comes in two categories, one is on Inkscape (which is how I did many of my old blog posts) and the other is IbisPaint (which I currently use to make my art). I use Inkscape to make the art for the Kid Icarus blog posts, because it’s WAY easier to manipulate and put their in-game portraits in my art instead of drawing them (I absolutely SUCK at drawing people, the closest I’ll always get to is stick figures).

But, then my computer had a permanent battery failure, so I had to get a new one, or else it would have to run almost always plugged in. So, now the computer I’m working this blog on is the new one, which does NOT have Inkscape on it (yet). So, while I’m getting that downloaded on my new computer, I’ll give you a brief overlook if you want to start your own blogs.

1. Find a place to start.

The main way how to access many bloggers is to get on their website. There are many ways to make a website that you can blog on. Either you can use a platform that is specifically made for making websites like these, or you could take the challenge of actually creating your own website, it’s pretty hard to do though, so that should be done if you know how to do it, or you can learn how!

    2. Brainstorm what topics to write in your first post

Of course, no one just starts writing on their blog website! You have to find out WHAT you have to write about first! Make a list of topics you like (or hate) so you can talk about how amazing (or bad) those things are! Then, make sure you have a good idea of how it’s like in your head so that you don’t spend too much time trying to figure out how to write it out!

    3. Write!

Get the thing down on writing! You can first write the post out on paper or on a blank document online, but I recommend that you use an online document, as it’s easier to annotate the document without getting your post all messy with pencil and pen marks. If you are writing on paper, remember to put the writing from the paper to the website online.

    4. Post the first blog!

Use whatever settings to post your first blog! You can edit what time the blog gets posted so you can post it anytime! You can also edit the blog after you post it, but it’s best to post it after you fixed all the errors or annotations in your blog! Then you can post it!

    5. (optional) Create your online persona!

This is for fun, but you can also make an internet persona, a version of yourself that portrays yourself on the internet. Still don’t know?

Well, you know how YouTubers like SomeThingElseYT and TheOdd1sOut portray themselves as a devil and a bubble boy respectfully, even though if you see pictures of their real-life selves, you’ll realize that they look nothing like that? That’s because they have internet personas, which they use to portray themselves in a different light than many would expect. This gives the creators a better way of expressing themselves. Heck, I use an internet persona (I portray myself as a corgi since I can’t draw people)! But this step is completely optional! You don’t have to create an internet persona if you don’t want to!

    Happy blogging!

… (I promise the next blog of KIE: S&R is coming soon but here’s the latest addition to it if you want-)
