March 13th, 2020 our schools shut down to a worldwide pandemic thinking it would only be for a couple of weeks, not knowing how deadly this virus can be shutting down schools for the rest of the school year.
During in-person learning there were a few things that I liked and that I didn’t like very much, let’s start with the things I liked. I liked that the teacher would be right at her desk if we needed help or anything else. I also really liked that we had our friends right by us that we could talk to. Another thing that I liked was not having glitches or disconnections from our internet. Somethings that I didn’t like as much in in-person learning were that if you didn’t want to talk to someone you kind of had to since you were in the same building as them, possibly at the same table. Another thing that I didn’t like was the cafeteria food, there were a few recipes that I liked but most of the time I didn’t like what was on the menus. I also didn’t like how we had certain times where we could use the bathrooms and eat. The last thing that I hated was that there were kids who would be physically or mentally bullied. I also didn’t like that sometimes there would be physical fights at recess.
In virtual learning, there are also lots of things that I like and a few things that I don’t like as much. Something that I liked is that we could eat whenever we wanted to, I am a very starving person, and I need snacks to concentrate. I also like the idea of not having certain times that we could use the bathroom. A few things that I don’t like are that there were times when my internet crashed there were glitches and I couldn’t hear. I also don’t like the idea of people still getting bullied even if it’s digitally. Overall there are a few things that I do and do not like about both versions of learning.
