Summer Reading has been one of my favorite things so far and I cannot wait to read more books. One of my favorite authors is the New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover. Last week during a trip to Michigan, I went to a beautiful cafe with a bookstore named Hooked. My eyes caught on a book titled It Ends with Us. it was the book my friends had been reading. Before I took out my wallet, my uncle had already taken out his credit card to pay for the book. I cannot thank him enough for buying this book for me because it has been one of my favorites this summer. Before you choose to read this book, I want to give a maturity rating as this book covers tough topics that are difficult to discuss as a young reader. I highly recommend reading this book if you are thirteen or older.

After a rough 23-years in a complicated household and after the death of her abusive father, Lily Bloom decides to leave Maine to move to Boston and start her flower business. There, she meets charming, but arrogant neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid who slowly becomes Lily’s love interest further in the story. While Lily tries to open up her business, Allysa, who is coincidentally Ryles sister, is willing to get a job and their friendship begins from there. After Lily’s fathers death, Lily feels more at peace having friends to support her and her business going well. But when her past friend she had helped out all those years ago, Atlas Corrigan, comes into the picture, Lily doesn’t know what to do. This story covers Lily’s flashbacks of her domestically abusive father, and her helping hand to Atlas after he was kicked out of his house. When Lily is stuck between the past, the present and the future, she doesn’t know what to do or how to handle all of her problems. What will happen next? Will Ryle and Lily’s relationship be ruined? What will the heartwarming reunion between Atlas and Lily end up in? Was moving to Boston the right choice? If you’re into books that cover topics such as romance, coming of age, moving on, grief, empathy and family, this book is just for you.

I was so excited to find out that there’s a sequel to this book that will come out in 2022. I cannot wait to read their sequel It Starts With Us Soon. This book was an emotional rollercoaster and made the analysis of the characters challenging. I enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read more books like these.
