Thanks to Chase Kip for the idea for this blog! You can watch his short explained videos on video games on Youtube!
WARNING: THIS SECTION MAY AND WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS, AND IS SUPER LONG, SO IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE GAME RIGHT NOW, YOU SHOULD EXIT THIS BLOG, AND PREPARE YOURSELF FOR BOREDOM, I GUESS.
Last time on Kid Icarus Actually Explained (100%), our heroes (Pit and Palutena) have gotten the Three Sacred Treasures, and have defeated Medusa once and for all. But it turns out that Hades, the true leader (and god) of the Underworld just used her as a distraction and that the Underworld army isn’t FULLY destroyed yet.
And so, Pit and Palutena take to the sky (get it? (if you don’t, read the last four blogs (omg this blog is taking so long))) and defeat the Immortal Phoenix, the Protector of the Wish Seed (a item used to grant wishes to anybody), and they think that the Wish Seed is the number 1 suspect for the rebirth of the Underworld Army, and then you have to choose which path that Pit will want to choose (in case you are wondering, the better choice is the path to Pit’s right), and then after completing the the path, you get into land battle. But then is the time where Hades then reveals that the Wish Seed is fake, and that it was a completely made-up story to make the humans go into war with each other, and more dead souls means more recruits for the Underworld army, and more soldiers means a more powerful army to take over Skyworld. And after you defeat the Phoenix, Hades spreads a rumor that someone has taken the Wish Seed, and the humans are like “Yea, he is literally a butt head and a jerk, he also is the most evil villain so far. We should believe him!”. Then the humans go into war with each other to look for the non-existent Wish Seed.
Cue the tsundere! Then out of nowhere, the goddess of nature, Viridi, starts to throw Reset bombs at the humans, saying that humans have destroyed a whole load of nature to make buildings and that they need to be exterminated, blah blah blah blah blah. After defeating one of Viridi’s generals (if case you are wondering, Viridi’s army is called the Forces of Nature), Pit destroys the Reset Bomb factory, making Viridi declare Pit as number one on her “to-kill list”. Then the next chapter Pit battles Arlon the Serene inside his Lunar Sanctum, and something breaks free from the Lunar Sanctum (which Pit says is nothing, but it will be really important as the story goes on) Then the NEXT chapter, Pit and Palutena deal will Phosphora, who Palu then hates because Phosphora called Palu “ma’am” (god, why). Then the next chapter aliens called the Aurum invade and everybody teams up to defeat the Aurum, whose leader ends up possessing the self-proclaimed sun god (whose name is Pyrrhon) whom Pit ends up defeating. Pyrrhon then pushes the Aurum back on the other side of the universe (we really need one of those for social distancing) and then Pit gets pulled back by Palutena to refocus on the Underworld Army.
THEN PIT GETS TURNED INTO A RING. More details on that later!
