Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I have written about this franchise (its as dead as the original game lol), but I’ve decided to take a break from playing Kid Icarus Uprising so that my obsession for Kid Icarus doesn’t end, because I really don’t want it to stop XD.

Spoiler alert for Kid Icarus Uprising for People who hate spoilers for this game and want to play it.

Now, where were we…

KIE: S&R (Part 9: A Run of Gods and Clones)

First Part of Original KIAE (which is old and therefore cringey)

And where we were picking off, Medusa was defeated and the game is over, yaaaay!

…just kidding.

It turns out that Medusa (the goddess of darkness) was not the main antagonist in this game, but none other than Hades, the Lord of the Underworld. He was the one that resurrected Medusa in the first place, and the real boss that Thanatos and the other Underworld forces were working for. He also is awfully popular for some reason, probably because of his snarky and playful personality, despite also being a homicidal sadist but okay!

And now a total of… SIXTEEN more chapters have been added to the game! Yaaaaay- BOOO HOOO HOOO-

So then Hades sends his troops after an artifact called the Wish Seed, which can grant any wish, as long as the protector of the seed, the Phoenix, is defeated. So, Palutena sends Pit after the troops, so that he can obtain the Wish Seed before Hades gets his hands on it.

But then Palutena correctly figures out that the Wish Seed is nonexistent (as the person with the Wish Seed could make anyone more powerful than the gods/become a god, which isn’t good if you have read Frankenstein or watched Death Note), and that the troops (lead by Hades to trick the goddess of light and her angel servant) and Pit are pursuing a fake.

This pursuit for the fake Wish Seed and the defeat of the Phoenix would trick the humans of the Overworld that someone has taken the Wish Seed and make them fight over it, making a war that could drive humanity to extinction. But if the Phoenix isn’t defeated, the Underworld army could set him (yes, him!) loose, making the bird burn humanity into a crisp. So Palutena and Pit have no choice but to defeat the phoenix themselves, causing the war as Hades had predicted.

…and that’s what happens. A war springs up between humanity after the defeat of the Phoenix. Pit and Palutena oversee the war and also defeat some Underworld troops along the way.

And during then, humanity gets bombed.

You want an explanation? Here it is: While the humans were battling against each other for the fake Wish Seed, the goddess of nature, Viridi, was so pissed off of their greed that she sent down a Reset Bomb, a bomb that when detonated, exterminates any humans and/or human civilizations and returning the area to its “natural” state.

This new villain… pisses our heroes off. With this new foe, they defeat one of her commanders, Cragalanche, and then set off on destroying her Reset Bomb Factory.

Pit seems to make enemies every day!

Let’s see who else tries to kill Pit next time!
