Hello everyone! I’m back from my trip to Nepal! I am currently recovering after my stay after the trip. If you are thinking right now “Oh Nova, why are you saying that you are recovering from your stay? You sound fine!”. First of all, I’m talking through a blog, so you have NO idea what I sound like 🙂 and second of all, I’ll explain about the recovery situation at the end of this blog (or the next one, I have no idea). But first, I must explain what we did for the next days of the trip.

After we went to the caves, we rested at the hotels for a while and ate at restaurants. You know, like normal tourists do when they are at a place. Afterwards, our group, which included my mom, my dad, my sister, my parental grandparents, my mom’s nephew (named Eugene) and two of my cousins cousins (I have more cousins, uncles and aunts than the amount of Pokémon in the Kanto Pokédex (which is 151) went out to go boating in a lake. We had to pedal the boat instead of rowing it to keep it going so that it would keep going. We boated to this boat to a small island, stand there awkwardly and take a few photos for about 15 minutes, then pedal ourselves back onto dry land.

After visiting my dad’s old village, which had many old people (who were all excited to see me for some reason that is because I exist) and also had a very sweet cat and going to a very bad pizza place, we then left for a safari park, where we got to ride on an elephant! The elephant we rode on was a female one who was in her 50s and also did a really good job to ride us across rivers that had crocodiles in them (I’m not kidding the rivers did have crocs in them). We also saw a kingfisher, rhinos, boars, and many types of birds and bugs during the trip.

My mother also set up a wedding anniversary party to just have a bit of a family reunion. That kinda turned out to be a REALLY BAD IDEA because our relatives were squishing our cheeks and hugging us all the time as if there was no personal space between me and my sister! The food also made my stomach uneasy so yeah.

I should also point out at this point that in Nepal, there is no such thing as cousins, aunts, uncles and et cetera. We call those family members our brothers and sisters, no matter the age gap between us. So now if someone asks what my family is made out of, I need to say that “We have over 100 brothers and sisters” and if they ask if that is a pain for my parents, I might make the person confused by saying “Oh they not all from the same mother :)” .

What.

Then later the family that I live with (my mother, my father, my sister and me) went to this very ancient museum called Patan Durbar Square. The museum was originally an ancient palace for a king but then became a museum after an earthquake in the 1900s or so. It had many things about the gods and something called tantrism and was very interesting in taste! There was also a gift shop at the end that included fable books and a Tintin comic book. We bought the fable books, a guide of Hindi gods for kids, the Tintin comic book (which was Tintin in Tibet and it was really good) and also a copy of Anne Frank’s diary (which I currently am reading and it is full of typos). The museum was very enjoyable and really good! I recommend it to people that love the history of culture in different lands.

This then concluded the adventure to Nepal and all my family had to do was split up and fly back home.

Seems like an easy task? WELL NO IT WASN’T.

The flights were good on the plane, but once we were done with the first flight of the trip (which lasted so long), I was feeling very queasy. I have no idea why, maybe because I had a bit of food poisoning in Nepal or on the plane, but once we were boarding the flight from Turkey to get back home, I decided that I was going to throw up, so my aunt got a bag ready. And guess what I did?

HUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!

I also threw up on the plane as well, again probably food poisoning? So in total, in that day, even once we got home after eating Noodles and Company, I threw up not once, not twice but FIVE TIMES. My appetite if feeling much better now that I’m back in the US now.

MORE BLOGS COMING SOON! MIGHT TELL YOU WHY!!
