Hey everyone! Today, I am not in my house! (please don’t take that line out of context)

I’m in the country where people drink maple syrup: CANADA! Why? To see Niagara Falls, of course! Don’t worry, I’m not there to ride down the Falls in a barrel (despite what the drawing suggests), I’m simply there for a final trip before school starts! Yippee (sarcasm included)!!!

why me

Anywho, so far, the trip is very nice! We haven’t met anyone who only speaks French yet so that’s a relief 😅. Learning a new language is ALWAYS a pain. While we were at the Falls, my family and I went to the Niagara Parks Power Station, where the waterfall was once used to make energy for the city.

There also was an entire exhibit on TESLA!!

…no I meant Nikola Tesla.

The entire exhibit was the best part of the entire station. There were two Tesla coils, a big one where music would occasionally play through (usually the songs were from movies, like Star Wars and Indiana Jones) and a small one that generated electric bolts that could crawl harmlessly around your hand.

The part that really took the cake was the huge plasma ball that was at the far right of the exhibit. You could put your hand on the surface of the ball and the plasma beams would follow to your fingertips! What a way to interact with the fourth form of matter on the planet!

That Tesla guy sure did know his stuff!

More things we did also included taking many pictures of Horseshoe Falls (which is the bigger waterfall next to the real Niagara Falls in New York), go to another one of the many Ripley’s Aquariums (when will they stop being so amazing?) and going to the top of the famous CN Tower, where our family sort of faced our fears of heights for the hundredth time (some things never change!)

This is only the second day of the trip so far, so stay tuned for more content!
