For the first part of summer break, we went to Tennessee(also staying in North Carolina). We stayed there for about two weeks. Why am I telling you this? Because I’m going to tell you about my experience in Tennessee and North Carolina so YOU can decide if you want to go there, and so you don’t have to spend as much time preparing for your vacation(as much because you need to put some effort into it too, don’t be lazy). I’m going to tell you where to go, where to eat, and where to stay. Ready? Let’s go.

If there are any adults reading this, please read this section. It has some fun and not-so-fun places that can work for your children or you(but what do I know about what adults like, I’m a kid). Anyway, one of the fun places we that we went to is Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies(in Tennessee).

Why It’s Fun: There’s a shark tunnel, where you go through a glass tunnel on a conveyor belt and look at sharks, sea turtles, moray eels, lookdowns(yes, that is a type of fish)and the occasional barracuda. There’s a Discovery Center for kids where you can touch live jellyfish and use a computer to make your own customized jellyfish(and make it look mentally disturbed haha :3). In the Stingray Bay, you can feed stingrays, touch them, and watch bonnethead sharks swim by(you can’t touch them because sharks have skin like sandpaper and I can only assume they’d mistake your hand for food), and in June and July, you can watch dive shows with mermaids(yes kids, mermaids). These are only a few of the many things Ripley’s Aquarium has to offer.

Why It Sucks: IT DOES NOT SUCK

We also visited a shop called The Toy Box in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. There are so many video game toys, like Pokémon plushies, Sonic plushies, Poppy Playtime plushies(.____.), and even…wait for it…

A SONIC.EXE PLUSH🙀! I didn’t even know they MADE those, and if you’re like me(a creepypasta lover)the moment you see that thing in the window you’re like: I NEED IT. So now I have a strangely cute Sonic.EXE propped up against a wall in my bedroom staring at my bed. The Toy Box has literally every plush a video game lover could ever want. I love it.

In North Carolina we hiked up Mount Mitchell, where Dr. Elisha Mitchell tragically fell to his death trying to prove the mountain highest in the Rocky Mountains. May his soul rest in peace. At Mount Mitchell, you can get snacks and visit the museum(actually LEARNING something). You can also visit the observatory tower where you can see mountains Big Butt and Little Butt(these are their actual names). But aside from that, the hiking down the mountain was NO FUN AT ALL. My legs hurt and I was thirsty. Not for kids or people who don’t like to walk.

One of the best places to eat in North Carolina is the Switzerland Café, because they have a variety of foods to choose from, such as trout, and it’s great for kids because they have a REALLY REALLY GOOD grilled cheese, and a great dessert selection. Overall Rating 5000000000/10. But if you want something casual, just go to the local Subway.

Finally, the best place to stay. This company has hotels in both North Carolina and Tennessee. The name of the hotel is tru(no caps). It’s pet friendly, has a pool, great breakfast, and very comfortable to stay in. Great Wi-Fi connection as well! Perfect for playing Friday Night Funkin every night(:3). Overall great visit.

And that’s all for my trip to Tennessee and North Carolina! I hope you put this blog to good use and visit these places. If you do go to Tennessee or North Carolina, tell me how your trip went and put it in the comments. That’s all for now! Bye!
