Picture this: You are watching the newest Nintendo Direct, and you can’t WAIT to see what new games are in the making for the latest Nintendo video game console. The only new games you get to see are pretty good. There’s a third Xenoblade Chronicles, a third Super Mario Strikers Game, a new Fire Emblem Warriors game, and lastly, a second Kirby game for the Nintendo Switch.
After a month or two, you reopen your Switch and read a game recap made about all the Pokémon games that have released just for the Nintendo Switch. You find a lot of familiar ones, Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield , New Pokémon Snap, and Pokémon Unite.
But, at the end of the whole page, there is a video. You watch it, and at the end, it shows three Pokémon you have never seen before, which are the new starters for the new generation. There is a cat-like creature for grass, a dino-like creature for fire, and a small duck-like creature for water. After this, it shows a title, that in big letters, that says, Pokémon Scarlet, with another title that says Pokémon Violet. You know it, new games for the Pokémon franchise.
First of all, there are new starters (obviously). I don’t know much about the new starters, but neither do you so I don’t feel ashamed :D. Anyway, there are (as every Pokémon fan knows) three starters in the new games. Sprigatito, the grass type, Fuecoco, the fire type, and Quaxly, the water type. As you already might know, people only know the basic forms of these Pokémon.
The second thing I know about the new Pokémon game(s) is that they both have the same gameplay as Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You know it: another Pokémon game with a open-world setup. You know, that layout of which enemies can attack you instead of just walking over to them to battle, the exact layout as games like Pokémon Legends: Arceus and BOTW (Breath of the Wild). This might be because a lot of open-world games are super popular… I think?
Let’s get to the point: Why am I talking about this? Well, the Pokémon franchise has a load of games on the Switch, having a whopping 15 games on the Switch where you “gotta catch ’em all”. And with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet coming onto the Switch, the number of games will increase to 17 (not including Expansion Passes)! Let us list EVERYTHING about these new games (since every one else has).
The last thing I know about the game is that it contains new Pokémon (duh), but unfortunately, I cannot list any of the new Pokémon because of the fact that the trailer never showed any of them. But everyone else doesn’t knows so who cares?
So in conclusion, this was a very short blog and that you should buy Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Or don’t! It’s your choice 🙂
Happy gaming!
