WARNING: Spoilers ahead for the start of the game. Then again, in my Pokeblogs I spoiled the entire game of Pokemon Sword, so just be prepared for what lies ahead.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus was released January 22, 2022. I’ve opened the game once and have not made any progress after an Alpha Pokemon saw me. So here’s the story thus far: You start the game choosing your name and appearance, as usual. Then when you FINALLY get the first glimpse of your character, you are floating around in space. And no, I am not making this up, you are literally floating around in space. Then Arceus tells you to complete the Pokedex, and you have no opinion like in every other Pokemon game. So, yeah, then the screen goes black, and, you wake up with a professor dude staring into your face. He says, “You fell from the sky.” That was the basic message. Then he decides to help you, because you’re a lonely small child who apparently fell from the sky. Then the Pokemon he has with him run away, and you need to catch and return them. He gives you 50 Pokeballs to catch three small Pokemon, and when you do, you return the Pokemon and the Pokeballs(rude boi). Then you’re taken to Jubilife Village, where everyone is like, “Isn’t he/she the guy/girl who fell from the sky?” And NO ONE WILL LET YOU FORGET THE FACT THAT YOU FELL FROM THE RIFT IN THE SKY SO YOU ARE SUS. Anyway, he takes you to the headquarter(the Survey Corp. Headquarter), and he’s like, “Here, put this on!” and stuffs your hair into a cap/handkerchief. Then you meet this dude who is like, “FACE ME IN COMBAT BOI” and you have two options: 1: Try to throw him or 2: Charge at him. I don’t know what happens if you try to yeet him, but if you charge at him, he yeets YOU and you black out. When you wake up, he tells you that you need to work on your sumo, but he likes your skills. So this lady gives you a mission: catch Bidoof, Starly, and Shinx. She also adds, “If you don’t, we shall abandon you in the wilderness, where you may lose your life.” So you basically DIE if you fail the test. Oh, by the way, your character is depressed for almost the entire game. You also choose a starter Pokemon: you can choose Cyndaquil, Oshawott, or Rowlet. Rowlet is triggered for the entire time it’s a Rowlet. So, yeah. That’s the start of the game in a nutshell. It’s a good game for those who look at a scary boss and say, “I’M NOT AFRAID OF YOU>:(!” Also Pokemon can attack you. I hope you like this game better than I do.
