Hey everyone! Have you ever seen a movie and thought “Wow! That was HORRIBLE”? Yeah. There are some movies that for some reason are really comedic, not because of the witty jokes, but because of how BAD the movie is.
This is what I witnessed in the terrible The Amazing Bulk, a movie that obviously is just The Incredible Hulk if:
- The Abomination (or Emil Blonsky) had no superpowers and wanted to blow up almost everything (oh, and also has a dumb wife)
- The Hulk looked more like Thanos
- The CGI quality was dragged down to MINUS TEN THOUSAND-
- Bruce Banner had a love interest, who has a father who’s the general for the army.
- The Hulk was in a chase scene that involved Robin Hood, two typing geckos, two kids playing soccer, Daniel Boone, a flying super-dog, AND THE GOD ZEUS HIMSELF
Okay, the last part may sound awesome, but believe me, it’s absolutely horrible. In fact, that’s what the entire movie is: HORRIBLE!!
The creator of this dreaded movie, whose name I will not list here for his sake (find out yourself!), said, in response to the universally negative reviews, simply said that he thinks the film is supposed to swim the same river as the famous film “Who Framed Rodger Rabbit” and that people “dOn’T GeT tHE cOnCepT oF liVe aCtIoN pEoPlE iN a cOmIc bOoK wOrLd”.
Ohhh, my good sir, they do, but it’s because they’ve seen the experts do their thing.
I’ve never watched “Who Framed Rodger Rabbit”, but what I’ve seen and heard of the film, it looks so well made! The animators seemed to take real life scenes, film them, and then draw animated cartoon characters into the scenes and making them actually part of the world (how on earth did they do the scene where Daffy Duck plays the piano)!
In contrast, “The Amazing Bulk” uses green screens instead of actual places and the poor acting doesn’t help on that part either. Instead of bringing the cartoon world into real life, this abomination only tries to do the same but just by shoving people into the studios while making almost everything out of place.
The only way how I could enjoy this movie was to watch it with clean commentary via The Microwave Society. The video’s right here if you want-
Overall Rating: 1/10. The one point being the fact that the climactic chase scene is so stupid, it’s okay to laugh at.
Seeya later!
