Hey everyone! From what you have seen, I didn’t post last week! Why?Oh, I don’t know, maybe because I’ve been in New York for the past couple of days!
Yes, that’s right, I visited New Your with part of my school (with people in my school choir)! But, for those that don’t know, that was my THIRD time visiting the Big Apple! But, the experience was just as mind blowing and amazing as ever! NYC never fails to amaze me!
But what exactly did I do during the trip? Well, a TON of things including:
Visiting Radio City Music Hall
Ah, yes. This famous music hall, for those who don’t know, is the home to the famous Radio City Rockettes, a set of dancers that are really good at synchronizing their dance moves and are known for their legendary Christmas performances… in November. Ah, well. The performances are really good and are really funny at times! A must-see for aspiring dancers!
Taking Pictures of Strawberry Fields
This park is a memorial for the lead singer of the legendary rock band The Beatles, John Lennon. The park is really pretty and there are many really gorgeous places to take photos. There is also a picture on the walkway inspired by John Lennon’s famous song Imagine. Try getting a picture there!
Riding Rise NYC
This simulator lets you virtually fly over New York! But before you do that, you look at the culture and how New York is an icon featured in many aspects of pop culture (Gossip Girl, FRIENDS, Sesame Street, etc), and how it made broadway big in the first place! It helps you learn more about New York that you would ever know!
Seeing the musical Back to the Future
This broadway musical really makes the original 1985 movie come to life, with its catchy songs, amazing acting, hilarious comedy, emotional scenes and stellar story, this one’s for the dreamers! This musical is definitely one of the best of the best!
Eating at the one and only Ellen’s Stardust Diner
Now, I really like me a good meal from Olive Garden or any other restaurant, but can I tell you what those restaurants really need? Singing waiters. Yes. SINGING WAITERS. Luckily, in Ellen’s Stardust Dinner, they have exactly that! The waiters that work there are all trained soon-to-be broadway stars! Not only will they serve you delicious food, but they’ll sing every once in a while too! They even take requests!
Now, these are only some places you can visit in New York, and there’s much more to explore, so try visiting New York sometime!
Happy travels!
