Hey everybody. In case you all are wondering how I got the idea to do this blog, the answer will come to you in only a few words…
… my house’s power went out.
There’s no air conditioning, no electricity, nothing. So my family is really trying to stay warm and cozy here. While I’m writing this, here are a few things that I am doing while I’m cooped up here.
Write In A Book
This is a common thing that I like doing. It’s a great way to get your imagination into the world and you can write down a real variety of topics down. It also can make you feel calmer while you are trying to sleep or relax. You also can write about what’s going on during the time you are writing, if you don’t want to be creative. It is a real stress reliever.
Make a Fire
This is one I really enjoy, since making a fire is a really good idea when it is winter and if your toes are freezing off of your feet! All you need is a fireplace, a lighter, and a log to burn and then you have something that can make you relaxed and refreshed in mere minutes! This is why fire is such a neat thing, that is also handy to have.
Read a Book
If writing a book feels uncomfortable for you, then reading one can be better! Reading can also give you a sense of peace, just like writing will. The only downside is that it might give you a bit of an eyesore after a while. The best is if you are reading a very boring book, like The Lord Of The Rings or The Chronicles Of Narnia, since those are the ones that are going to give you some sleep!
Cook With Your Family
The best thing to do if your power is out is to cook (usually). Since the stove is still running if your power’s out, you can still have things like pancakes and hot chocolate. You can also cook some salmon and rice on the stove as well! You can also try to be creative and cook some other things that usually need to be baked. But for now, you can stick with mac ‘n cheese!
See you all later and stay safe, everyone!
