It is almost the end of summer, and the school year is about to begin. Today, I am going to review two wonderful books that I have just finished reading,Regretting You and It Starts with Us ( a sequel of the author’s first book, It Ends with Us). Here are two book reviews by the wonderful and talented author Colleen Hoover.

Regretting You:

The story starts off with Morgan, a humble and responsible mother who had felt obligated to marry her rebellious, but sweet high school sweetheart, Chris, after she gets pregnant with her daughter, Clara. In Morgan’s rough life, she had to take care of her younger, and also rebellious sister, Jenny, who is dating Chris’ best friend, Jonah.
After seventeen years of being married to Chris and raising her daughter Clara, Morgan realizes that her relationship with Clara is complicated and ends up in fights and several altercations. The only person who can resolve their problems is Chris. However, this doesn’t get any better until Chris and Jenny end up in a very questionable accident. This accident begins to unveil several hidden secrets that Morgan needs to hide from Clara. This only makes Clara’s relationship with her Mom worse after the loss of her two favorite people in the world. The only person who could possibly help out is Jonah. After seventeen years of not talking to each other, Jonah and Morgan decide to give their friendship a second chance. What will happen next? If you’re into stories that cover the topics of love, family, friendship, grief and mystery, this book is just for you.

This book has a maturity rating and must be read by the ages of fourteen or older. Please read at your own risk as this book covers possible inappropriate topics and vulgar language for young readers.

It Starts With Us:

After reading It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, I immediately had to read the sequel of the book, It Starts With Us.

After a rough one year of trying to keep their marriage stable, Lily and Ryle decide to call it off and co-parent their daughter Emerson. However, this co-parenting situation is rather difficult for Lily as she has a fear of something happening to Emerson when she’s with Ryle. When Lily moves on with her life as a single parent, she runs into Atlas again and tries to get closer with him. As time passes by, Lily and Atlas start to feel a connection that felt similar to the one they had all those years ago as teens. But Lily knows that if Ryle finds out, he wouldn’t approve because of their past memories. What will happen next? Will Lily be able to fight for full custody of her daughter? Will the conflict between Lily and Ryle be solved? Can Lily and Atlas become an endgame for this story? If you enjoyed reading It Ends With Us but wanted a deeper story of Lily and Atlas’ relationship, read this book to find out.

These two books must have a maturity rating. Please read the It Ends With Us series at your own cost as they talk about tough topics.
