Hey everyone! Or should I say, hello, old friends!
It has been SOOO long since I actually had to publish a blog. Heck, my last post before this was almost a MONTH AGO!! Here’s the link to it if you want to read it!
I’m in a rut, so that’s why I don’t usually write now!
But… the truth is… I’m being exposed to more political issues.
I am currently reading this book called The Encyclopedia of Misinformation by Rex Sorgatz. I love the book, but it’s making me very resentful of the world.
Of course, I’m not going to discuss my ideologies. In OurSundayProject, we are all here to have fun and read blogs, not ramble on about the resentments on this planet.
My school year also recently ended, so I’m hanging out with more of my friends and spending time learning how to draw.
Yeah, you heard that right: the person who can’t draw people and has to draw herself as a dog is learning how to DRAW.
Why? Well, I recently found out that AI is being used to make artists out of jobs and is stealing art. I was digging deeper into the situation when I saw this video: >here’s the link so you can watch it<
This inspired me. Thus, I started to learn how to draw.
And no, I’m not going to post my artwork here, at least, not yet. I still need to find a way to keep my art from being stolen (not like it isn’t that good).
But, since I’m here, I’ll give you some things on how to find and learn how to create your artstyle:
1: Trace
Now, I know what you are thinking here: “Nova! How dare you! You’re making people copy and steal a person’s art!” But honestly, I don’t see tracing like that. My perspective can be seen through these two pages of Cat Kid Comic Club by Dav Pilkey:

See? What I started with was tracing the character Mage from Trick Moon (RIP, the show never was greenlit!) from an official How To Draw page, and through that, I got the hang of getting my characters in one position! Yay! I’m currently working on drawing hands.
2: Just draw!
The more you draw, the better practiced your art style will get!
Again, I’m only practicing! You can search up better pieces of advice!
See you when I can!
