Hey everyone! For those that do not know, this blog is a follow-up from last blog. The link’s here if you want. In the last blog, I showed you how much of a pain “writer’s block” is to writer.

Now, I will show you the cures to the horrid thing! Yaaay.

…starting off…

1. Looking at other works

“Wait a minute! Using other ideas to make your stories, isn’t that plagarism?” Well… not exactly.

Sometimes, looking at books related to your book (or movie or whatever) actually can get you some ideas for you! For example, the Percy Jackson series and the Harry Potter series have the same idea of “a 11-12 year old boy goes on adventures with magical creatures and settings” even though both are written by two different people!

It really is cool to see how many book series can be linked because of the similar ideas they have (ex: the original Metroid and Kid Icarus Uprising both have girl characters who wear a full body suit and are thought to be masculine. Both games also have space pirates!)

So if you’re worried about how similar your book is to other books, that’s totally fine!

(unless you are straight-up plagiarizing the original work then that’s obviously not okay lol)

2. Writing why you can’t write about anything!

This one actually helps me a lot! If I can’t write about anything, I just simply think of the reasons why I can’t write anything (ex: political reasons, my writer’s block, etc). And it also might help you as well! Who knows? Maybe this actually help you clear a plot point in the story!

3. Wait for it to pass

All of these might not work, and that’s okay! So the last option is to do NOTHING AT ALL!! NOTHING AT ALL!

Homer Simpson: GAH! Stupid stinky writer’s block!

As stupid as it is, it’s really important to give your brain a break sometimes, and that’s okay!

Seeya later!
