We are taking a break from Pokémon facts and transitioning to Animal Crossing. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As everyone that plays the new game Animal Crossing: New Horizons wants to get, the elusive musician K.K. Slider on their island. There are ways to make your island flourish, but what ARE those ways? Well, that’s why I’m here to tell you! Here are a few tips to get your island on the top and get THE K.K. Slider on your island.

  1. Get Blathers on your island

The very first step is to get Blathers on your island (we will explain why later). To get Blathers on your island, you have to give at least five creatures (no sea creatures). After giving him the fifth one, Tom Nook will tell you that Blathers should come to your island, and he wants you to place his tent somewhere. The next day, a brown anthropomorphic owl (anthropomorphic means that the owl has human-like traits) will come to your island. That brown owl is Blathers! Soon, he will build his museum on your island.

2. Invite villagers to your island

The next step is to invite some other animals to your island. As people say “the more, the merrier”, so invite some villagers to your island. The only can invite villagers to you island by going on a mystery tour on the Dodo Airlines near you. After that, you will have to fill out plots that the villagers will live in sooner. You will have to fill it out, and when you are done, you can let the adorable animals come to your island for good!

3. Build a bridge

The next thing that Tom Nook will assign you is to place where a bridge will be. Placing the bridge will help connect the island together. After you’ve placed the bridge, there is one last thing to do…

4. Make Nook’s Cranny

Sooner in the game, Tom Nook says that people are selling too much stuff to Timmy, one of the Nooklings. He gives you a list of things to build a shop so Timmy won’t have his hands- err, paws full. After you have completed that list, you have to wait for the next day for the store (called Nook’s Cranny) to open. Sooner or later, Nook’s Cranny will close for new improvements. After Nook’s Cranny will reopen as a new and cool store.

5. After you did all of that, you will get the Resident Services upgraded.

After you have done steps one to four, Resident Services (where Tom Nook will give you important tasks to improve the island) and the next day the plaza will have a brand new look, being a building instead of a tent. And Tom Nook says that he has someone special that just came to the island, Isabelle, a dog that will report the news, help you make the island tune, help make the flag, tell what to do to expand the island rating, and the most important thing: tell you what the island rating IS.

6. Get to a 3-star rating

When you first see what the island rating is in the first place, it will be rated one star (well, obviously!). Isabelle will tell you the three things you need to do to expand the island. One, add more villagers (remember, you are supposed to have a maximum of ten animal villagers to your island). Two, decorate the island. And three, get rid of clustering items around your island. Do these three things to expand your island rating. After a period of time and work, when you ask what the island rating to Isabelle, she will tell you that the rating is 3-stars and read a mysterious comment signed with a “K.S”. Tom Nook will recognize the “K.S” and declare that the message is from the one and only (drumroll please) K.K SLIDER! Tom Nook will call K.K and ask for a concert on your island, and the latter (K.K Slider) will say yes! K.K Slider will perform the song “Welcome Horizons” in the next day. That will be the ending of the game, so explore and design your island to your hearts content!

Congrats! You just learned the path to success in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Now K.K Slider can visit your island every Saturday and perform any song requested at 6pm! Enjoy the fun with Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
