Hi guys I’m back :]
And with real life stuff. This time. Unfortunately, or not, depending on this post’s relevancy to you. I start school next week waugh
So obviously people drive. Because we have roads. To drive on. For transportation.
And it’s good to learn how to drive so you can go places.
But to drive, you SHOULD know how to drive. Like, learn the laws of the road and what signs mean. So, you know, bad things happen less.
So, you go through a 30 hour course for learnding. This is not a typo. I spelled that wrong on purpose. It’s a Simpsons reference.
In any case. I went through that. So I’m here to give some tips for if you decide to learn to drive.
- If you have anxiety/are anxious about driving: if there’s a video saying “X’s Story” JUST MUTE THE THING
That is 9 times out of 10 a traumatizing video of someone dying. Leave the video playing in the background, if you’re already anxious about driving. Do something else. Draw, listen to music on another device, play a game, something. You won’t have to know any of the stories for your permit test. Just let them go if you know they’re gonna scare you more.
If the video is animated, it’s safe. If you still want to hear for the information, play it on low volume in the background. That’s what I did.
- ROAD SIGNS
ROAD SIGNS ARE IMPORTANT. LEARN THEM. PRACTICE recognizing them on the road. Draw them, if it helps. I made the Side Road Intersecting sign in Tomodachi Life because it confused me, and now I understand it.
YOU WILL NEED THEM TO GET AROUND. SO LEARN THEM.
- You do not need the history of roads, automobile, or seatbelts
Briefly know them for the discussions, then ignore. I don’t even know why they’re in the curriculum but whatever.
- DO NOT DRINK OR DO DRUGS AND DRIVE
THAT IS ILLEGAL AND I DON’T WANT TO SEE ANY MORE VIDEOS IN THIS CURRICULUM ON THAT. STOP IT.
- The permit test is on signs and traffic laws
You can get 10 questions on the Law section wrong and still pass. You have less room for error on the signs. Learn them both and take practice tests, and you’ll be fine.
Those are all the tips I have. Good luck driving :]
Remember, you don’t have to drive, but it’s good to know how and be legally able to (i.e. have a license) in case you ever get in an emergency situation.
Aight bye bye 😀
(Also happy birthday Tenya Iida)
