Hey hey, everyone! It’s me again! In Washington (the state, not the city)!

After I have had NOTHING to talk about in the last blog, I’m back and with a LOT more things to talk about our trip! And this time it’s MUCH more than just about a tower!

First, we went to stay at Mount Rainier National Park! Last time when my family went there, we didn’t see much. The mountain view was foggy, the atmosphere was either too hot or too cold, and the only animal we “saw” was a mule deer (which we didn’t see but a lot of other people did).

This time, however, we were able to see a lot more of what the park had to offer. Gorgeous views of the mountain (despite the mosquito bites. Should have applied bug spray sooner!), the weather being quite mild and consistent, and my dad and I went on a hike, where we saw many animals like ravens and marmots! My entire family also saw more deer than usual and different kinds of birds! Including the Steller’s Jay! One of my favorites!

So yesterday, w went to Port Angeles to go whale-watching. This isn’t my first time, however. I once went whale-watching in Boston when I was six, but that’s another story. The company that we went whale-watching with said that they GUARANTEED whale sightings.

They weren’t kidding! We saw about SEVEN whales, all of them were humpbacks. Sadly, none of them breached out of the water (where they jump out of the water), but we did see some good feeding action from many of them!

We also went to a marine center that had sea urchins. You could feed them, while looking at rockfish and skeletons of dolphins and otters! It was so cool!

When I’m writing another entry next week, I’ll be back in Wisconsin. See you guys then!
