Hi everyone, I’m back with more takes on Eurovision!
Have I listened to all the songs? No.
Am I still making this? Yes, because I’m in Seattle and wanted to do this.
So, without further ado: Eurovision takes! Because I listened to more songs. And I’m still fixating on this contest. Help.
Part 1 of the takes is here, for context.
- RIDNYM – LELÉKA
I went into this song with relatively low expectations. But it was…actually amazing.
The staging was simple but graceful. Also: THAT HIGH NOTE. WOAH. A lot of the voices were impressive this year! (REGARDE ! …MONROE DID SO GOOD!!! Her voice is so powerful and she’s 17?? Wowwww)
- FERTO – AKYLAS
This song is one ✨ heck ✨ of an earworm. Greece chose well. Deserved its points. Akylas is an absolute king. My man pulled out the Minecraft HUD and a scooter. A SCOOTER.
I feel like this was the best silly song this year. The Espresso Macchiato of this year if I may say. Sure Viva Moldova was okay. But it wasn’t my thing music-wise. The energy was great though! But…
FERTO MU FERTO MU FERTO
- ON REPLAY – BZEKEBI
I actually liked the staging for this one!! And the song was great too, I can’t believe it didn’t qualify…the guy was kind of carrying though.
This song was really catchy and delivered well (YEW AND AIIIIIII). It deserved better…aughhhh.
- FOR VI GÅR HJEM – SOREN TORPEGAARD LUND
I liked the staging for this one! Quite a vibe really, Soren did an excellent job opening Eurovision. :]
- CROSSROADS – DANIEL ŽIŽKA
Ehhh. I don’t know. This song had GREAT vocals, I can’t lie about that. But the staging was kind of underwhelming. A lot of mirrors. Also, I didn’t feel much with his voice. It was great, yeah, but I couldn’t understand what he was trying to communicate with his English. Young Justin Bieber vibes.
And no, I’m not salty that this song got a whopping 23 points higher than Kraj mene.Despite Kraj mene’s staging and whole thing. No, not at all.
- KRAJ MENE – LAVINA (again)
Short. But just wanted to point out. The emotion in Luka’s voice. Oughhhh. Impeccable. I could feel the message EVEN though I didn’t know Serbian (I still don’t, but can pronounce it…the only Serbian I know is “nema kebapa)
Also Pavle crawling around like a feral beast was funny. Should have been Belgrade 2027… (NO HATE TO DARA OR ANYONE, ALL THE SONGS WERE GOOD I JUST LOVE KRAJ MENE)
These are all the ones I have real notes on.
But I DID do a song ranker for Eurovision (songs I didn’t listen to had to pass the vibe test by title). Two, actually. Attached below!

Slightly different results. But unsurprising.
I have not listened to Portugal’s, or basically any of the songs that NQ’d! Sorry ;-;
But yeah, my favorites are probably the Balkan trio (Serbia, Croatia, Romania), Finland, and Greece.
That’s all :]
If you have any suggestions for songs I should review let me know in the comments! See you next time for a Seattle blog :]
Bye bye 😀
