Hello guyssssss

So the school year is in full swing, and figured I’d share tips I have for the most important part of the year:

Studying for assessments.

It’s painful. And hard to do.

But NOT IMPOSSIBLE. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

IF YOU DO NOT DO TESTS WELL YOU WILL DIE. THEY ARE USUALLY A LARGE PART OF YOUR GRADE.

But there’s no point if you can’t study well. So here are some of my tips:

  • TAKE LEGIBLE NOTES

More of a pre-emptive tip.

I know it can be hard to do, especially if the teacher is moving fast. Your notes don’t have to be perfect at ALL. They just need to be readable. And make sure if you use both sides of a page (as you should) the pencil doesn’t smudge your writing. That is worse.

If anything, if you can type your notes, or transcribe them on a doc later, do that!

  • REVIEW A LITTLE EVERY DAY

Do not save everything to the last day. Try to space out review every few days, and keep track of what you do and don’t remember.

This helps SO much with content heavy subjects like History classes!! DO NOT PUT IT OFF!!

  • SONGS AND ASSOCIATIONS!!

Find a song made about what you’re studying!! They help I promise! They exist for stuff like the Periodic Table, I know. Make your own if you have to, a parody of an existing song works! The creation part especially helps with remembering. Trust me, i’d know.

Making anything about what you’re reviewing/studying helps.

Or, make associations! They can be weird, as long as you remember. Like I imaging COSMO standing next to Marie Antoinette and Monroe, to remember she’s Austrian but was the queen of France. If it works, it works.

  • QUIZLET AND BLOOKET

I know teachers tell you these are horrible study methods. But they’re good for learning a lot of stuff quickly, and if you do them often, then they can REALLY help. I was able to memorize the names and symbols of the first 30 elements (give name, provide symbol type stuff). So they DO help!

Those are my study tips!! They work for me and you should try them too if you have trouble!!

Good luck and bye!! 😀
